Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz Reunite for 'The Mummy 4' Filming
The original stars of 'The Mummy' franchise were spotted on set in England, reprising their iconic roles.
Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz have returned to their roles as Rick O'Connell and Evelyn Carnahan for the upcoming film, "The Mummy 4." The actors were recently photographed filming scenes for the latest installment in the adventure franchise.
Fraser, 57, was seen on location at a former military base in Suffolk, England, on Monday. He was photographed in action, donning a helmet and getting behind the wheel of a vintage rocket car for a scene depicting record-speed trials. The car was noted to have "Evelyn" written on its side.
Weisz was observed filming a separate scene in London, near the British Museum. She was dressed in character as Evelyn Carnahan, wearing a brown cropped jacket, a mustard yellow polka-dot midi skirt, and a wide-brimmed hat. Her accessories included black shoes, leather gloves, and a brown leather briefcase.
Fraser and Weisz first starred together in "The Mummy" in 1999, followed by "The Mummy Returns" in 2001. Weisz did not participate in the third film, "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," released in 2008.
"The Mummy 4" is being directed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, known for their work on "Ready or Not" and the "Scream" franchise. The film is scheduled for release in October 2027. Other returning cast members include Oded Fehr, John Hannah, and Kevin J. O’Connor, according to IMDB.
