Brenda Song Pitches 'Senda Brenda' Play to Manning Brothers on 'Manning Cast'
Actress details her signature goal-line play during a live broadcast of the Rams vs. Bills game.
During the Los Angeles Rams' Monday Night Football matchup against the Buffalo Bills, actress Brenda Song made a cameo appearance on "The Manning Cast," hosted by Peyton and Eli Manning. Song, a noted fan of the Rams, took the opportunity to break down a play she devised, dubbed the "Senda Brenda."
Peyton Manning drew the play on a whiteboard as Song explained its concept. She credited Rams defensive end Kobie Turner for initially naming the play. "This is the Rams version of a tush push," Song described. "We’re lined up; you have the running back. You pass him the ball. He runs up, and the whole line just tosses him over, and you call it, ‘A senda Brenda.’ You toss him over both lines into the endzone."
Eli Manning noted that the play shared similarities with one used by former Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach, whom he had hosted on his show "Eli's Places." Eli explained that Leach had always wanted to implement such a play and had practiced it with a kicker in the running back position. Song expressed surprise and enthusiasm upon learning of the play's prior conceptualization.
The segment concluded with Eli Manning jokingly suggesting that Song should be put in a Rams jersey to execute the play herself.
