Bre Tiesi Says Nick Cannon Called Her 'Nuts' for Joining 'Special Forces'

Bre Tiesi, known for her role in "Selling Sunset," has shared that Nick Cannon initially reacted with bewilderment to her decision to join the cast of "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test" for its fifth season.

"He definitely was like, 'Girl, why? Why do you want to do this?'" Tiesi told Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea." She added that Cannon, with whom she shares four-year-old son Legendary, simply said, "Good luck."

In "Special Forces," celebrity contestants undergo a simulated version of the rigorous Special Forces military selection process. Tiesi revealed that it was actually her ex-husband, former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel, who encouraged her to sign up for the show.

Manziel, who previously competed in "Special Forces" Season 4, warned Tiesi that she would find it challenging to discuss her "feelings" and personal history with the directing staff. Manziel withdrew from his season during a claustrophobic challenge involving crawling through underground tunnels.

Tiesi and Manziel were married in March 2018 and divorced in November 2021.

Tiesi stated that Cannon "would never" participate in "Special Forces" himself. The couple has maintained an open relationship for years. Tiesi confirmed in a 2024 "Wednesdays" podcast appearance that they are "very much together," while acknowledging that Cannon has other partners.

Cannon is a father to 11 other children in addition to Legendary. They include twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden and Rise, and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; twins Zion and Zillion, and daughter Beautiful with Abby De La Rosa; daughter Onyx with LaNisha Cole; and daughter Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott. Cannon and Scott also tragically lost their son Zen in 2021 to brain cancer.
