Singer Brandy, 47, and her daughter Sy'rai, 24, appeared together on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of "Descendants: Wicked Wonderland" on Tuesday evening. The mother and daughter duo, who have been noted for their resemblance, coordinated their outfits in white.

Brandy wore a Jovana Louis cape dress, styled by Ashley Sean Thomas, while Sy'rai sported a full-length, low-cut lace House of CB dress with bolero-style sleeves. Brandy's look featured straight, icy-platinum long hair with a center part, contrasting with Sy'rai's jet-black pixie cut.

Sy'rai expressed her happiness at supporting her mother, stating in a chat with Fashion Bomb Daily, "This is my second one 'cause this is my mom's second time being in this franchise. I'm so happy I'm here and I get to support her, so yeah, we're having fun."

The premiere celebrated the upcoming movie, which is set to debut on the Disney Channel on July 16. In the film, Brandy reprises her role as Cinderella, a character she first portrayed in the 1997 TV film "Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella." She also appeared as Cinderella in "Descendants: The Rise of Red" in 2024.

Brandy shared her gratitude for the opportunity to return to the character, noting, "To Disney…thank you for the rare and beautiful gift of allowing me to return to Queen Cinderella…a character I first had the privilege of portraying at sixteen years old. To revisit her now, with the wisdom, gratitude, and life I’ve lived since then, has been nothing short of full circle."

She also paid tribute to Whitney Houston, who played her fairy godmother in the 1997 film and passed away in 2012. "I cannot celebrate this moment without honoring our beloved Whitney Houston. What Whitney and [producer] Debra Martin Chase accomplished with Cinderella in #97 changed storytelling forever. They proved that fairy tales belong to everyone. They opened the door to a kingdom where diversity wasn’t an exception…it was the magic itself."

Brandy also acknowledged co-star Rita Ora, who plays the Queen of Hearts. In an Instagram post, Brandy wrote, "Some crowns become even more beautiful when they are shared. What an honor it has been to stand beside the magnificent @RitaOra as two queens from worlds that remind us that true royalty is never about standing above one another…it’s about lifting one another higher."
