Brandon Hammond, the 42-year-old former child actor who appeared in prominent '90s films, was recently seen in Los Angeles. Hammond, once a frequent presence on screen, has remained largely out of the public eye for more than twenty years.

Hammond is best known for his role as the 10-year-old version of Michael Jordan in the 1996 film Space Jam. The same year, he appeared in Tim Burton's science fiction comedy Mars Attacks.

His acting career began with a guest spot on Gabriel's Fire in 1991. He transitioned to feature films with a role in the 1993 crime drama Menace II Society. Throughout the 1990s, Hammond worked with directors such as Tim Burton, Tony Scott, and Kathryn Bigelow, and shared the screen with actors including Robert De Niro, Angela Bassett, and Ralph Fiennes.

Other notable '90s appearances include the 1995 film Strange Days, directed by Bigelow, and Waiting to Exhale. He also appeared in the 1996 thriller The Fan, starring De Niro and Wesley Snipes.

Hammond dressed casually

Following his prominent film roles, Hammond worked primarily in television, including a recurring part on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and a lead role on The Gregory Hines Show.

His final credited on-screen role was in the 2002 TV movie Our America. Since his last acting appearance, Hammond has remained involved in the film and television industry as a writer and director of short films. He also recently worked as an acting coach on the 2024 short film Exit Interview.

Hammond with a beard

Reports indicate Hammond was seen heading into a high school, dressed casually in a T-shirt, sweatpants, and Crocs. He was observed with a thick salt-and-pepper beard, a departure from his clean-shaven appearance during his childhood acting career.
