Brandi Glanville Undergoes Exploratory Surgery Amid Health Concerns

Brandi Glanville is undergoing exploratory surgery on her face to address a health issue she believes may be a parasite or fungal infection. The 53-year-old reality star shared details about the procedure on her podcast, "Brandi Glanville Unfiltered," stating that surgeon Dr. Carlo Honrado would be performing what she described as a "power wash under my skin."

Glanville explained that she has identified two specific spots on her face that she believes are "fungal balls or something alive," adding that "it moves when it wants."

She expressed both excitement and fear about the surgery, noting that she has never had facial surgery before and that the procedure is reportedly more intensive than a facelift. The cost of the surgery is $5,000.

The health issue began in her face four years ago, spreading to her scalp, neck, and now down her spine. Glanville stated that her doctor informed her that if he can remove the primary source, the rest of the infection may become more manageable.

In September, Glanville revealed a series of diagnoses, including highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever), Demodex dermatitis, and mononucleosis. Her treatment at the time involved daily IV treatments estimated to cost between $3,300 and $6,000 per month.

Glanville also spoke about the financial strain of her ongoing medical issues, stating that she has emptied her 401(k) and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on medical bills, even with insurance. She attributed her decision to compete on the show "Special Forces" to the need for funds to cover these expenses.

Previously, Glanville suspected she contracted a parasite after a trip to Morocco in 2023. Her initial symptoms included facial paralysis, and she was first diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema.
