Brandi Glanville Spent 'Hundreds of Thousands' on Medical Bills, Emptied 401(k)

Brandi Glanville, a former star of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," revealed that she depleted her 401(k) savings to cover medical expenses totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. Glanville stated that the costs were incurred while seeking answers for a range of debilitating health issues.

"The medical system here is broken," Glanville told Fox News Digital. "I have creditors from, like, medical things calling me, like from Cedars-Sinai. It's out of control. Like I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars that I had saved. I emptied my 401(k). And it's all for medical bills. And I had insurance, and they told me nothing was wrong. I'm so angry."

In September, Glanville disclosed her diagnoses, which include highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Valley fever (coccidioidomycosis), Demodex dermatitis, and mononucleosis. She also noted that her ongoing daily IV treatment was estimated to cost between $3,300 and $6,000 per month.

Glanville previously shared that she believed she contracted a parasite after a trip to Morocco in 2023, which led to facial paralysis. Initially diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema, she reported spending over $70,000 attempting to identify the cause of the mystery illness that affected her appearance.

During her participation in the reality competition show "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test," Glanville sustained significant injuries during a helicopter water jump. She suffered a perforated eardrum, a concussion, a bruised sternum, and a cracked rib. The injuries were severe enough that doctors advised against flying, requiring her to travel by boat to a hospital.

"My head hit the water. It was like a Mack truck – it, like, ran over my head. I thought that was it," Glanville recalled of the incident. "And then a few seconds later, my body hits the water so hard. It was paralyzing almost."

Despite the physical toll and the medical challenges, Glanville expressed a sense of accomplishment. "Honestly, I'm so proud of myself. I feel like a badass, even though I didn't last long," she said. "I went in, I conquered, I got hurt, and then I left and that was enough for me."
