Brandi Glanville's Father, Guy Glanville, Dies at 77
The former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star announced the news on social media while also navigating personal health and financial challenges.
Brandi Glanville announced on X that her father, Guy Glanville, has died at the age of 77. The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star shared her grief, writing, "My dad died, I’m gutted I hate this life right now." Glanville did not disclose the cause of her father's death, and her representative did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The announcement comes as Glanville has been managing her own significant health issues and financial concerns.
In February, Glanville revealed that she had been diagnosed with several conditions, including highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever), Demodex dermatitis, and mononucleosis. She also shared that she has a fungal ball in her face that was scheduled for removal. At the time, she attributed her health problems to ruptured breast implants from 20 years prior that had leaked silicone into her lymph nodes.
Earlier in the year, Glanville had shared that her father was in the cardiac unit of a hospital. "Dad in cardiac unit at the hospital & it’s day 13 now. We are both medical mysteries. Pray for my dad Guy Glanville," she wrote on X.
Glanville's relationship with her father was previously strained, particularly following their appearance on "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition" in 2018. Glanville told "Entertainment Tonight" after the show aired that they had not spoken since its broadcast, explaining that her father had been upset by the edited content. Despite the estrangement, she stated at the time that she loved him dearly.
Later, the father and daughter reconciled, and Guy Glanville publicly defended his daughter during her past feud with Denise Richards, stating, "My daughter may be many things, sometimes an a–hole, but she is not a liar."
In addition to her health struggles, Glanville has been dealing with mounting medical bills. A friend established a GoFundMe campaign to help with her expenses. Glanville expressed embarrassment over the fundraiser but acknowledged the significant financial burden of her ongoing treatments.
