Brandi Glanville's Breast Implants Dislodge During 'Special Forces' Stunt

Brandi Glanville, known for her role on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' experienced a series of painful injuries during the filming of 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test,' leading to her early exit from the competition. The incident occurred when Glanville, 53, was tasked with diving backward and upside down from a helicopter into a jungle river in Malaysia.

"As soon as Glanville’s head hit the water, 'immediately, I was like, "Oh s***. I just hit my head so hard,"' she shared. "Then, all of a sudden, my body slammed into the water. When that happened, it was immediate pain. Horrible pain. I could only move one of my arms out of my whole body, and I was trying to swim and it was a nightmare."

Following the impact, Glanville discovered that her three-month-old breast implants had dislodged and moved from her chest to under her armpit. In addition to the implant displacement, she suffered a cracked rib, a perforated eardrum, a concussion, and a bruised sternum. The severity of her injuries necessitated immediate medical attention, and she was informed by the crew that she had to go to the hospital, which resulted in her withdrawal from the show.

"The crew told her she had to go to the hospital which meant she was off the show. 'I was happy about it at that point because my head was literally spinning,' she added," she told People magazine. "I was happy about it at that point because my head was literally spinning."

The journey to receive treatment was challenging, requiring Glanville to travel by three boats from the remote filming location to Kuala Lumpur, as she was not medically cleared for helicopter transport. Upon returning to Los Angeles, she was bedridden for several days due to her injuries.

Glanville's participation in the show was partly motivated by a need to cover mounting medical bills. She revealed that she had been suffering from silicone poisoning due to 20-year-old breast implants, which led to significant health issues, including facial disfigurement and other serious diagnoses such as ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis, and Mononucleosis. These conditions resulted in substantial weekly medical expenses, even with insurance.

"I have all these bills and I was like, 'Screw it, let's do it,'" she said she told her manager. She also noted that she had been hesitant to join the show, expressing concerns about her toughness, but ultimately felt a desire to conquer her fears and prove herself to her children.

Despite the painful ordeal and ongoing health battles, Glanville stated she does not regret participating. 'Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test' airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
