Brandi Glanville Reveals Isolation Amid Ongoing Health Battle

Brandi Glanville, 53, has stated that she has been isolated from her friends for the past few years as some did not believe she was experiencing health problems, including facial disfigurement.

In a recent episode of her podcast, "Brandi Glanville Unfiltered," the reality television star explained that she rarely sees anyone other than her children and spends most of her time at home. Glanville, who shares sons Mason, 23, and Jake, 19, with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, attributed her isolation primarily to a demanding treatment schedule. This regimen involves frequent 18-hour IVs and subsequent trips to the pharmacy for prescriptions.

Glanville acknowledged developing anxiety about leaving her house and expressed a preference for staying home with her dogs. The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum indicated that she stopped responding to calls and texts because she often had no new health updates to share. She also noted that some friends dismissed her physical ailments, attributing them instead to depression.

"My friends were great but I isolated. They would call but I wouldn't pick up, I wouldn't answer my text because I wouldn't have any new news," Glanville said. "And a lot of them didn't believe anything was happening to me. They were worried it was just depression. It's my fault because I just wanted to deal with this myself because it's hard to explain and I didn't have answers for it."

She described feeling depressed and withdrawing from social activities since her facial disfigurement began. "I love all my friends, I do. But — this is hard to explain — and I can't go out ... I get depressed," she admitted. "I don't want to talk on the phone. I have to isolate. It's like I'm back in my own personal COVID. I gotten rid of all of my furniture and most of my clothes."

Glanville also spoke about feeling embarrassed to ask for financial assistance, even after a friend started a GoFundMe fundraiser to help with her medical expenses, which she stated cost $16,000 per month. She also mentioned her upcoming appearance on "Special Forces," admitting she did the show for the paycheck, stating, "If she was going to die, she might as well make some money first."

Her diagnosed conditions include antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter), a fungal infection (Coccidioidomycosis), an inflammatory skin reaction (Demodex dermatitis), and a viral infection (Mononucleosis). Glanville also claimed to have had a "fungal ball" surgically removed from her face and discovered a benign tumor in a lymph node in her face over the summer. She believes her health struggles may be partly due to ruptured breast implants, with leaking silicone potentially clogging her lymph nodes. She has spent over $113,000 attempting to diagnose and treat her facial disfigurement, which she has been battling for three years.
