Brad Pitt recounted a lighthearted fan interaction during a promotional event for his new survival movie, "Heart of the Beast," in Colorado on Monday. While attending a screening and discussion at The Ritz-Carlton in Avon, Pitt, dressed in a denim jacket and jeans, shared a story about a delivery driver who didn't immediately recognize him.

According to Pitt, the driver asked if he knew him from somewhere. Pitt, suspecting the driver recognized him, simply nodded. When the driver then asked for his name, Pitt playfully responded, "Matt Damon," before revealing the prank. Pitt and Damon have a long-standing friendship, having worked together on the "Ocean's" film series.

The anecdote comes shortly after a commentator on Fox Sports mistakenly identified Damon as Pitt during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final in July. Damon was in attendance with his wife, Luciana Barroso, when the announcer, John Strong, briefly confused the two actors before correcting himself.

The star said when he was picking up his Postmates delivery at his front door, the driver said he knew him from somewhere

"Heart of the Beast" is set to open later this month. Pitt was joined at the Colorado event by the film's director, David Ayer, and musician Stephen Wilson Jr.

In related news, Netflix has confirmed the title for the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" sequel, which will feature Pitt reprising his role as Cliff Booth. Titled "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth," the film is set in 1977 and will be directed by David Fincher. This project marks a reunion for Pitt and Fincher, who have previously collaborated on films such as "Se7en" and "Fight Club."
