Brad Pitt presented a casual, youthful image at a screening of his new film, "Heart of the Beast," held at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The 62-year-old actor donned a distressed Maison Margiela sweatshirt, splattered with white paint and featuring the brand's name scrawled on the hem. He paired this with a navy blue fedora, acid wash jeans, and key lime green sneakers. Aviator-style glasses and a salt-and-pepper beard completed his ensemble.
Pitt appeared upbeat during the event, seemingly unaffected by recent public statements from his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, detailing her close relationships with their children, and legal actions taken by some of their offspring.
Jolie, in a recent interview with L'Officiel USA, described her children as individuals who "know all sides of me." She also spoke about her children, Maddox, 25; Pax, 22; Zahara, 21; Shiloh, 20; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 18, noting that most have legally dropped Pitt's surname. Vivienne was the latest to file paperwork to change her surname from Jolie-Pitt to Jolie, citing personal reasons.
Jolie shared observations about her family life, stating, "As a parent, you try to do many things, but you also try to not get in the way of this human being who has a life separate from yours and so much potential in their own mind." She also discussed her directorial work, mentioning a "wonderful shoot" in Italy with her children for her 2024 war drama "Without Blood." She recounted visiting Zahara at Spelman College, describing the experience as deeply honoring and transformative for their family.
The legal entanglements between Pitt and Jolie continue, particularly concerning the Chateau Miraval winery. Jolie sold her stake in the winery to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler in 2021, which led to a lawsuit from Pitt, who alleged she was contractually obligated to seek his consent. Jolie has cited Pitt's acknowledged alcohol abuse as a factor in her decision to sell and has asked Pitt to end the legal fight for the family's healing.
Pitt has publicly discussed his struggles with sobriety, admitting in a recent interview that he had returned to drinking after seven years of abstinence. The former couple's split in 2016 was followed by a protracted legal battle over property and child custody, during which Jolie made accusations of abuse, which Pitt has denied.
In addition to the ongoing disputes, Pax Jolie-Pitt previously posted a strong public denunciation of Pitt on social media, calling him a "world-class a**hole." However, reports suggest Pax continues to have contact with his paternal extended family and has not pursued a legal name change from Pitt.
