Boris Becker's ex-wife Lilly moves back to London after split from boyfriend
Lilly Becker returns to the UK with son Amadeus after ending a four-year relationship and declaring she is 'done' with men.
Lilly Becker, ex-wife of former tennis champion Boris Becker, has revealed she has split from her boyfriend of four years and returned to London with her teenage son, Amadeus. The Dutch model, 50, ended her relationship with German sports manager Thorsten Weck, 57, approximately one year after relocating to Germany, citing the prohibitive cost of living in the UK as the reason for her initial departure.
Becker, who now resides in South West London, has declared she is finished with romantic relationships, stating, "I'm done. If it happens, it happens. But I have no luck with British men, so I don't think it's going to happen." She expressed a preference for meeting partners in person rather than using dating apps, describing her approach as "old school." Becker added that she enjoys her single status and the absence of snoring partners, noting that male suitors do not often approach her, but she is not actively seeking a relationship.
She had moved to Dusseldorf with Amadeus last summer, explaining at the time that she found London too expensive to manage as a single mother. "I just can't really afford to live in London by myself as a single mum," she said, adding that she wished to maintain a certain lifestyle for herself and her son. Thorsten Weck also lived in Dusseldorf, though Becker had stated they were not living together.
Now back in London, where she previously lived for years, Becker expressed her renewed appreciation for the city, despite its costs. "You can't beat London," she said. "It's expensive, but look what we have. We have Hyde Park, the Premier League, we've got Winter Wonderland, there's always a band in Camden, there's Ronnie Scott's." She affirmed her commitment to staying in the capital, stating, "I will never ever complain about London again as long as I live. I'll die here."
In May, it was reported that Lilly and Boris Becker were involved in a legal dispute over alleged unpaid child support. Lilly's lawyers claimed Boris Becker owed hundreds of thousands of pounds in maintenance payments for their son, Amadeus, born in 2010. The payments reportedly stopped in 2022, following Boris Becker's prison sentence for bankruptcy offenses. He had been released early and later claimed to no longer have debts, a statement Lilly Becker called "a slap in the face."
Lilly Becker is embracing her 50s, describing it as a "revamp" and feeling good about this new chapter of her life, especially after going through menopause. "The 50s are not what they used to be. We're not grannies," she said. She plans to continue modelling and is launching a new business called Her Next Move, focused on networking, lifestyle, and travel.
She also discussed her approach to aging, stating she undergoes cosmetic treatments like lasers and Botox but would not have a facelift, preferring to embrace the signs of aging. Boris Becker has since remarried and welcomed a daughter named Zoe with his current wife, Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro.
