Boris Becker, the tennis legend, is facing a critical juncture for his British company, BB Private Office Ltd, which owes close to £700,000, primarily to His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC). A winding-up petition has been filed against the company by HMRC, a move that could lead to its liquidation unless the debts are settled.

Despite the substantial debt, documents at Companies House indicate that the company would still hold over £200,000 once these obligations are met. Fenton Higgins, who controls BB Private Office Ltd and to whom Becker reportedly deposited his earnings from television and promotional work, is reportedly seeking a Company Voluntary Arrangement through the High Court. This arrangement aims to prevent the company from being dissolved.

Becker, 58, who was declared bankrupt in 2017 and later jailed for hiding assets, was deported from Britain after serving eight months of a two-and-a-half-year sentence. He is now barred from returning to the UK. He has spoken of missing Wimbledon, where he became the youngest men's champion in 1985 at the age of 17. He currently resides in Milan with his third wife, Lillian.
