Bones and Hidden Safe Discovered at Philadelphia Home Linked to Seven Missing Women
Investigators continue to search the property, which has yielded disturbing evidence tied to a pornographer and his son.
Investigators have discovered a hidden safe and bones buried at a Philadelphia home connected to seven missing or unidentified women. The property, once owned by pornographer Raymond “R.C.” Horsch and his son Eugene, has become the focus of an intensive search.
Law enforcement sources reported that a safe was found within the walls and floors of the house while it was being dismantled. Additionally, bones were recovered from the backyard on Thursday, prompting the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office to investigate. Officials are working to determine if the recovered remains are human or animal.
Crews are also collecting soil samples from various locations and depths at the property on Chew Avenue to test for chemicals. Eugene Horsch is currently being held on firearms charges as the investigation into the missing women continues.
This latest discovery follows other unsettling findings at the home since Eugene Horsch’s arrest in June. These include alleged snuff films featuring R.C. Horsch and several missing women, vats of unidentified chemicals, and writings that reference serial killers. One alleged film reportedly depicts a woman being strangled by R.C. Horsch, who was known as an erotic photographer and convicted meth producer. Authorities believe he lured vulnerable female drug addicts to his home.
Investigators have been meticulously examining over one million images recovered from the property. Authorities have identified images and video of Maribel Frieses, last seen in 2018, and Gabrielle Amarando, last seen in 2012, which appear to show them deceased. Blair Tonzelli, who vanished in 2023, and Amy McHale, Horsch’s ex-wife last seen in 2016, have also been named in connection with the case. McHale’s family stated her last known location was the home. R.C. Horsch died last year, and his remains were among five urns found in the house.
