Bombardier to Invest $270 Million in U.S. Expansion, Hire 800 Workers

Bombardier announced plans to invest $270 million in expanding its U.S. infrastructure and hiring approximately 800 new American workers. The investment will bolster the aerospace manufacturer's footprint across the United States.

The move comes shortly after President Trump appeared to shift his public stance regarding the Montreal-based business-jet maker. Earlier this year, the Trump administration had imposed a tariff on certain Bombardier aircraft imported into the U.S., a move Bombardier argued was unfair and based on flawed calculations.

Bombardier has a significant presence in the United States, with manufacturing facilities and service centers in several states. The company's existing U.S. operations support its global business jet and aerospace technology divisions.
