Bollywood Actor Tiger Shroff Survives Botched $525 Hit Attempt
Gunmen allegedly paid a small sum to shoot at the actor-turned-soccer player, who sustained minor injuries.

Video footage has emerged showing gunmen firing at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff as he left a Mumbai soccer stadium on Sunday. The attackers, riding a motorcycle, reportedly fired into Shroff’s BMW.
Shroff, who is also a professional soccer player, sustained minor injuries to his arm and shoulder from gunpowder residue and flying glass. His driver and a rickshaw driver were also injured in the incident, though the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
The gunmen fled the scene and abandoned their motorcycle near a train station. Authorities apprehended three individuals, aged 17, 18, and 22, on a train bound for Delhi, with plans to flee to Nepal. Police are investigating the possibility that the attack was ordered by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, a notorious organized crime group.
Reports indicate the trio were paid approximately 50,000 rupees, equivalent to $525, to carry out the alleged assassination attempt. Tiger Shroff is the son of Hindi actor Jackie Shroff and former Miss Young India Ayesha Shroff. He is also known for his roles in Bollywood films such as “Heropanti” and “Baaghi,” and has been associated with the fourth-tier Indian soccer club Mumbay FC.
The Lawrence Bishnoi group has been linked to previous targeting of high-profile individuals, including an alleged attack on Bollywood star Salman Khan’s home in 2024. The group was also connected to the assassination of Indian politician Baba Siddique in October 2024, who was shot and killed outside his son’s Mumbai home.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde condemned the incident, vowing to eradicate such criminal activity. “These attempts to intimidate people will not be tolerated, and we will put an end to this hooliganism,” Shinde stated. “We will respond to them in the language they understand,” he added, asserting that no responsible gang would be spared.
