The body of Marly Kinney, 19, was recovered from Grayson Lake in Kentucky on Sunday, five days after she disappeared from a boating party. Authorities with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources pulled her remains from the lake around 3:45 p.m.

Kinney was last seen around 4 p.m. on Wednesday while on a rented pontoon boat with at least 10 friends. According to investigators, she went overboard to use the bathroom and was not immediately noticed as missing by the group.

An extensive search effort was launched, involving multiple law enforcement agencies deploying sonar, thermal detectors, helicopters, K-9 units, heat-seeking technology, and underwater drones. More than 50 volunteers participated in the search, despite challenging weather conditions.

Authorities took the pontoon boat's driver, Cameron P. Conley, 23, into custody for boating under the influence. Kentucky State Police responded to the initial call for assistance on Wednesday, noting the smell of alcohol and observing that Conley had bloodshot, glassy eyes. He reportedly failed a breathalyzer test and was taken to the Carter County Detention Center.

Kinney's family has been notified. The State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort will determine the official cause of her death. Smokin' J's Rib and Brewhouse, where Kinney was employed, announced it would close for two days to allow her coworkers to mourn. The restaurant posted on Facebook that Kinney was a beloved employee known for her friendly demeanor.

The case remains under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding Kinney's disappearance to contact Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement or Kentucky State Police Post 14.
