Dr. Anthony Fauci displayed what a body language expert described as "signals of deception" during a U.S. Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing. Dr. Lillian Glass, a body language expert, told The Post that Fauci's physiological responses, including flushing, altered breathing, hunching, paleness, squirming, and increased blinking, indicated his autonomic nervous system was activated.
Glass noted that Fauci's body language shifted during questioning. According to Glass, at certain points, Fauci's demeanor transitioned from appearing confident and arrogant to guarded and weak. During questioning by Senator Josh Hawley, Glass observed Fauci's shoulders rising, visible squirming, a reddening of his face, and a weakening, shaky voice. She also noted he appeared emotionally strained and looked as if he might cry.
When questioned by Senator Bernie Moreno, Fauci again flushed and his face turned red, Glass stated. His breathing appeared heavier, his voice became softer and weaker, and he sounded meek and difficult to hear, she added.
