Body Found Off Exclusive Sandbanks Peninsula Identified After Police Release Images

Police have released images of a wetsuit and swimming gear as they work to identify a man whose body was found off the exclusive Sandbanks peninsula. The body was discovered off the coast of Poole, Dorset, shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, is described as white, approximately five feet, eight inches tall, of medium to stocky build, with short brown hair. He was wearing a full wetsuit, black swim leggings, and a navy blue Adidas T-shirt with red writing over the wetsuit.

The coastguard and Dorset Police's marine unit recovered the body. As of Wednesday evening, the man remained unidentified. The area where the body was found is near Sandbanks Quay, known as one of Britain's most exclusive postcodes with average property prices nearing £1 million.

Detective Inspector Edmund Murray of Dorset Police stated that while the death is not currently considered suspicious, efforts to identify the deceased have been extensive. Police are urging anyone with information regarding the man's identity to come forward immediately.
