The bodies of two men, William Hutchinson, 31, and Stuart Tallis, 27, have been found in a car hidden in undergrowth off the A584 in Lancashire. The discovery was made on Saturday, July 4, ten days after the men were last seen alive.

Hutchinson and Tallis had been reported missing separately by relatives. Hutchinson was last seen in the early hours of June 24 on Hull Street, west of Preston, while Tallis was last seen in the Fishwick View area, approximately three miles east of Preston, at 1:30 a.m. on the same date.

Lancashire police stated that inquiries led them to believe the two men may have been together. On July 4, officers discovered Hutchinson's blue Peugeot 106 in thick undergrowth off the westbound carriageway of the A584, near its junction with the A583 at Newton-with-Clifton.

Formal identification is pending, but police believe the deceased are Hutchinson and Tallis. Their families have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Police are investigating the incident as a road traffic collision, and no suspicious circumstances are reported.

Authorities believe Hutchinson's vehicle left the carriageway around 5:30 a.m. on June 24. Sergeant Martin Wilcock of Lancashire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the A584 shortly before the suspected time of the collision to come forward.
