Blue Ivy Joins Jay-Z Onstage During Anniversary Concert
The teenager played piano for two of her father's hits while Destiny's Child members watched from the crowd.
Blue Ivy Carter made a surprise appearance on stage alongside her father, Jay-Z, on Friday night during the first of his 30th-anniversary concerts. The 14-year-old performed on the piano for two of the rapper's well-known songs, "The Story of O.J." and "Dead Presidents," at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Following her musical performance, Blue Ivy embraced her father as the audience cheered. Jay-Z introduced his daughter to the crowd, calling her "the multi-talented, the most incredible, Blue Ivy Carter."
The concert also featured a reunion of Destiny's Child members in the audience. Beyoncé was seen in a VIP suite with former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, who were observed dancing and cheering for Jay-Z and Blue Ivy.
This is not the first time Blue Ivy has taken the stage with her parents. She previously performed with her mother, Beyoncé, during her "Renaissance World Tour" and "Cowboy Carter" tour. Her younger sister, Rumi, also made an onstage appearance during the "Cowboy Carter" tour. Earlier this year, Jay-Z addressed public commentary regarding Blue Ivy's performances, stating that his daughter actively pursued these opportunities and "fought" to be part of the shows.
