Blue Ivy Joins Jay-Z on Stage for Sold-Out Los Angeles Concert
The 14-year-old showcased her musical talents, playing keyboard during her father's performance at SoFi Stadium.
Blue Ivy Carter, 14, made a surprise appearance during her father Jay-Z's sold-out concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Friday. The teenager joined the rapper on stage to perform during his set, which celebrated the 30th anniversary of his debut album "Reasonable Doubt" and the 25th anniversary of "The Blueprint."
Jay-Z, who shares Blue Ivy with wife Beyoncé, was performing for a crowd of fans when his daughter stepped into the spotlight. Blue Ivy was seen playing the keyboard as her father performed tracks such as "The Story of O.J." and "Dead Presidents."
Beyoncé was also in attendance, cheering on her husband and daughter from a VIP suite. Videos shared on social media captured the singer grooving to the music and reuniting with former Destiny's Child group members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Other notable artists, including John Legend and DJ Khaled, also joined Jay-Z on stage during the concert.
This is not the first time Blue Ivy has performed alongside her parents. She previously showcased her dance skills during Beyoncé's Renaissance and Cowboy Carter tours and performed with her mother during Netflix's Christmas Day NFL Halftime Show in 2024. Blue Ivy also voiced the character of Princess Kiara in the 2024 Disney film "Mufasa: The Lion King."
In July, Blue Ivy and Beyoncé made surprise appearances during Jay-Z's tour stop at Yankee Stadium. During that performance, Blue Ivy also played the piano. Jay-Z has previously spoken about his daughter's musical abilities, noting her perfect pitch and self-taught piano skills.
"Blue is a crazy pianist, but she won't let us get her a teacher," Jay-Z told GQ in March. "She doesn't want it to be a job. But she has perfect pitch."
Beyoncé also lauded her daughter's artistic talents in a 2024 interview with GQ, describing her as an "artist" with "great taste in music and fashion," as well as a "fantastic editor, painter, and actress."
Rumors of a potential solo music career for Blue Ivy have also surfaced, with reports suggesting that songwriters are preparing demos for her.
Jay-Z returned to the stage at SoFi Stadium on October 24 for another performance. His "Jay-Z 30" shows began earlier this year with stops in New York, London, and Saint-Denis, France.
