Blogger Charlie Anderson-Read Dies After Three-Year Cancer Battle

Blogger Charlie Anderson-Read died on Sunday, concluding a three-year battle with aggressive pancreatic cancer. She was 41 years old.

Anderson-Read gained a significant online following by documenting her journey after being diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer at age 38. She was later diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a bile duct cancer, and given six weeks to live, but she continued to fight for three additional years.

Five hours after her passing, a pre-recorded video message from Anderson-Read was posted on her Instagram account. In the video, she expressed gratitude to her followers for their support, messages, and donations, which she said helped her and her family. She also shared her hope that her documented journey might have aided others.

"Any type of disease, terminal or whatever, is just absolutely awful," Anderson-Read said in her video. "I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. There's nothing that I wish I'd done more, the only things are obviously I wished I had stayed with my family for longer and seen Florence grow up."

She reflected on the kindness and generosity she encountered throughout her ordeal, noting it showed her the good in the world. Anderson-Read is survived by her wife, Louise, and their four-year-old daughter, Florence.

Her final message concluded with words of encouragement: "So all the best, keep fighting. You've got this. And I'll see you. Bye."
