Lively described the experience as "one of the most surreal moments of this wild and beautiful ride" in her accompanying caption. She also expressed gratitude to friends, family, and "Wrexham loved ones" for supporting the team. The photos captured a display of affection between Lively, 38, and Reynolds, 49, who have been married since 2012. 
The social media post comes amid unconfirmed reports of a strained friendship between Lively and singer Taylor Swift. Speculation suggests this rift may have contributed to Lively's absence from Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce, which took place on July 3 at Madison Square Garden. 
Previously, Lively's close relationship with Swift was reportedly affected by a legal dispute involving actor Justin Baldoni. In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and retaliatory conduct. Baldoni's legal team subpoenaed Lively for communications between her and Swift as part of the proceedings. A filing in the case claimed Swift was present at a meeting at Lively's New York penthouse to discuss script changes, although sources close to Swift stated she was unaware of the meeting's purpose upon arrival. Swift, who is godmother to Lively's three daughters, reportedly felt "exploited" by the situation. Lively and Baldoni reached a settlement two weeks before a scheduled trial date in May.
Swift has been godmother to Lively and Reynolds' daughters—James, Inez, and Betty—since before the recent legal and friendship disputes. The couple also has a son, Olin. Reports suggest that amid the fallout, Swift has distanced herself from the children, with a source telling the Daily Mail that the singer "had no choice" but to "remove herself" from their lives due to the circumstances.
