A family vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, took an unexpected turn when a black bear and her four cubs climbed into their SUV. The incident occurred on July 27, shortly after the Lindsey family had arrived at their vacation cabin.
Holly Lindsey, who captured the event on video, reported that her family had been at the cabin for about 30 minutes when they noticed the bears near their vehicle. Footage shows one of the cubs opening the driver's side door, allowing the entire family of bears to enter the SUV. Lindsey's family members were heard expressing surprise and amusement as the bears moved through the front and back of the car.
Lindsey stated that a child's cup containing ice inside the vehicle may have attracted the attention of one of the cubs. The encounter, while surprising, did not result in extensive damage to the personal vehicle, with Lindsey noting only paw prints were left behind. The family remained safe throughout the encounter. The video of the incident gained significant attention after being shared on social media.
