Reality television personality Binky Felstead has shared details of her extensive American summer with her family on Instagram, coinciding with her husband Max Fredrik Darnton's full-time relocation to his New York office. The family has temporarily left their London home to join Darnton in the United States.
Felstead, 36, has been documenting their experiences, which include visits to Nantucket, Connecticut, and the Hamptons. The family has engaged in various summer activities such as relaxing on the beach, cycling, and boating. Felstead has also shared images of herself participating in watersports, including wakeboarding, and exploring harbors with her two younger sons, Wolfie, five, and Wilder, three.
"From Nantucket, Connecticut, Hamptons. All just breathtakingly beautiful. Exploring," Felstead captioned one of her posts.
Her nine-year-old daughter, India, from a previous relationship, appears to have remained in the United Kingdom.
Darnton, an entrepreneur and founder of the global executive search and advisory firm Fredriks, announced in June that he was relocating to New York full-time to expand his business connections in the U.S. He stated that New York had felt like a second home for years and described the move as an "exciting new chapter." Previously, Darnton divided his time between Fredriks' Manhattan office and London, while Felstead managed childcare responsibilities in the UK.
The family is reportedly staying in a large, turreted house situated on a lake in New England. According to social media discussions, the rental cost for the property is approximately $35,000 per month. Felstead has also shared that their dog, Pedro, has been flown over to join them, suggesting a semi-permanent stay.
Felstead documented the initial stages of their move, sharing photos of moving boxes and her arrival at the new home, where she found preparations for her arrival including a barbecue and assembled toys. She also noted their arrival coincided with an American holiday.
This relocation potentially impacts the future of Felstead's reality television spin-off series, "Beyond Chelsea," which premiered in October 2024 and had a second season in March of this year. The show follows Felstead, Lucy Watson, and Rosie Fortescue. Felstead had previously teased the extended trip with a U.S.-themed party at her London residence before departing.
