Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley Engaged After More Than a Year of Dating

Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are engaged, with sources confirming the news to Page Six. The couple has been dating for over a year and made their relationship public on Easter Sunday in 2025.

Engagement rumors intensified when Hurley was seen sporting a large diamond ring, which a source suggested was not a prop for her current filming project. Cyrus added to the speculation by posting a ring emoji on Instagram, a post that was reportedly liked by Hurley's son, Damian.

This upcoming marriage will be the fourth for Cyrus, 65, who has six children. His previous marriages include one to Cindy Smith, Tish Cyrus, and Firerose. Hurley, 61, was previously in a long-term relationship with Hugh Grant and later married Arun Nayar, from whom she divorced in 2011. She was also engaged to Shane Warne.

Cyrus and Hurley first met on the set of the 2022 film "Christmas in Paradise" and reconnected in February 2025. Despite the initial surprise of their pairing, Hurley stated in a podcast interview that they have more in common than people might expect, noting similarities in their hair and their shared love for country living.

Hurley described their time together on their respective farms as "normal" and "bliss," often spent observing birds of prey and enjoying bonfires. Cyrus commented on their connection, suggesting that their differences and shared experiences in show business have brought them together.

"There was something in the opposites of us, I think, that maybe not only got other people’s attention but even our own," Cyrus told People magazine. "And I’ve never seen anybody that, in some ways, has more in common with the insanity that I have lived through in this crazy show business."
