Billionaire businessman Stephen Cloobeck has called off his engagement to Adva Lavie, a model previously featured as a Penthouse Pet, after her recent arrests on multiple felony charges. The couple, who were engaged in February and planned a June 12 wedding in Jerusalem, have ended their relationship, according to reports.
Lavie was arrested again on Tuesday evening while having dinner with Cloobeck at a restaurant in Beverly Hills. Police took her into custody for a grand theft charge dating back to April 2025. The charge stems from an incident at the Coachella music festival, where Lavie is accused of stealing items from multiple victims at a rented Airbnb. One victim reported over $25,000 in missing property, including jewelry, credit cards, and cologne. Another reported missing jewelry, sunglasses, and a wallet.
This latest arrest led to the revocation of Lavie's bail for her initial charges. Prosecutors informed the court that she had not been wearing a court-ordered GPS ankle monitor. Lavie had been out on bail following her arrest in March on six felony counts, including grand theft, burglary, and unauthorized use of personal identifying information. She had previously violated bail terms by leaving Los Angeles County and obtaining an Israeli passport, but a judge had issued warnings on both occasions.
A bail hearing is scheduled for Friday to determine if Lavie will be held in custody until her trial for the initial charges. Her legal team had filed a motion for diversion, citing experiences of sexual abuse, drug use, and working as a paid escort in Las Vegas.
Cloobeck, who is also a Democratic candidate for California governor in 2026, was previously arrested on May 12 on suspicion of witness tampering in relation to Lavie's case. He surrendered to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station on a felony warrant for allegedly violating a dissuading or intimidating a witness or victim of a crime. Cloobeck was released the same day after posting $300,000 bail. If convicted on all counts in his case, Cloobeck faces up to 11 years and six months in prison and $30,000 in fines. He is expected to enter a plea on August 7.
Reports indicate that Cloobeck is no longer funding Lavie's legal defense. Despite the broken engagement, a source close to the couple stated that Cloobeck "still cares about Adva" and remains friendly with his former fiancée.
