Billi Mucklow Shares Close Bond with Stepdaughter Amid Ex Andy Carroll's Marriage Reflections

While the fictional narrative often casts stepmothers in a negative light, Billi Mucklow has cultivated a strong relationship with her stepchildren, Emilie Rose, 17, and Lucas, 15, whom she helped raise during her 11-year relationship with footballer Andy Carroll.

Mucklow, 37, and ex-Premier League player Carroll, also 37, share three children: Arlo, 11, Wolf, eight, and Marvel Mae. Mucklow maintains a close connection with all her stepchildren, with her bond with Emilie Rose frequently highlighted on social media.

The couple's split occurred in 2024, after which Carroll reflected on their marriage in his book, "Owning It," describing it as a "car crash" and stating the relationship was already faltering before their wedding. Despite their separation, Mucklow remains a consistent figure in the lives of all five children, who reside together in Essex.

Emilie Rose and Lucas are from Carroll's previous relationship with Faye Johnstone, 36. The couple became engaged in 2014 but separated when Johnstone was four months pregnant with Lucas.

Mucklow recently shared a collection of photos celebrating the birthdays of her daughter Marvel Mae and stepdaughter Emilie Rose. The images included the sisters posing together and Emilie Rose opening gifts from Mucklow, such as driving lessons and her provisional license.

Earlier this month, Mucklow marked the first day back at school for all five children, posting a picture of them on the porch, with a caption expressing her love and acknowledging the return to school routines.

In the previous month, Mucklow celebrated Emilie Rose's GCSE results, sharing a video of her stepdaughter's pleased reaction. Mucklow posted, "Well Done my baby girl! Smashed your GCSEs! I'm so bloody proud of you!" She also highlighted Emilie Rose's prom preparations, including setting up a backdrop for her and her friends and accompanying her to prom dress shopping.

Carroll, in his book, detailed the dissolution of his marriage, noting that the relationship began to decline significantly after he left West Ham in May 2019. He stated that the marriage "was on its last legs before we tied the knot," but they proceeded with the wedding due to having five children between them. Carroll described periods of depression and excessive drinking while separated from his children and Mucklow, leading him to realize the marriage was over. He also recounted instances of "kitchen parties" and heavy drinking during his time in Essex after retirement from football.

The couple's wedding was reportedly nearly called off after Carroll was photographed with two women on his stag do, though Mucklow reportedly forgave him after assurances that nothing sexual occurred.

Less than two years after their wedding, divorce proceedings began. Carroll discussed the challenges he faced after retiring from football, feeling a loss of purpose and structure, which he believed put a strain on his relationship with Mucklow.

Following their split, Carroll began a relationship with celebrity hairstylist Lou Teasdale, a development that reportedly blindsided Mucklow.
