Billi Mucklow Highlights Close Bond with Stepdaughter Amidst Ex Andy Carroll's Marriage Revelations

Billi Mucklow is demonstrating a strong connection with her stepdaughter Emilie Rose, 17, through social media, sharing moments like prom dress shopping and the first day of sixth form. This comes as her ex-partner, former Premier League footballer Andy Carroll, has spoken candidly about their past relationship, describing their marriage as a "car crash."

Mucklow, 37, and Carroll, also 37, were together for 11 years and share three children: Arlo, 11, Wolf, eight, and Marvel Mae. Mucklow also maintained a close bond with Carroll's two older children from a previous relationship, Emilie Rose, 17, and Lucas, 15, effectively raising them as her own. The family all reside in Essex.

Recent social media posts highlight Mucklow's involvement in Emilie Rose's life. Last week, Mucklow shared photos celebrating both her stepdaughter and youngest daughter's birthdays, noting Emilie Rose's milestone of turning 17 and receiving driving lessons and a provisional license as gifts. Earlier in the month, she posted a picture of all five children returning to school, remarking on the return to the busy schedule of school runs and activities.

Mucklow also celebrated Emilie Rose's GCSE results, sharing a video of her stepdaughter's joyful reaction. In June, she posted about Emilie Rose's prom, documenting the leavers' day festivities and the search for the perfect prom dress. Mucklow described the shopping experience as "girl heaven" and expressed pride in her stepdaughter growing up.

Meanwhile, Carroll, in his new book "Owning It," has reflected on his marriage to Mucklow. He stated that their relationship was "on its last legs" even before they married in 2022. Carroll detailed his experience of spending two years alone in France for football, during which he claims Mucklow reneged on a promise to move with him and the children, leading to his feelings of depression and increased drinking. He also cited the transition into retirement from football as a significant strain on their relationship, describing it as "staring into the abyss."

Carroll noted that the decision to marry was influenced by having five children to consider. He also recalled instances of marital difficulties, including an incident on his stag do where he was photographed with two women. The couple ultimately began divorce proceedings in July 2024, a few months after Carroll's book was released and weeks after he reportedly began a new relationship with celebrity hairstylist Lou Teasdale.
