Bill Belichick Scouts Maryland High School Game with Girlfriend Jordon Hudson

Bill Belichick, head coach for the University of North Carolina football team, was recently seen scouting a Maryland high school football game alongside his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The pair attended Archbishop Spalding’s 32-0 home opener victory against Gilman on Friday night.

Belichick, who is in his second season with the Tar Heels, was observed in the press box with Hudson, reportedly taking notes and observing the players. According to reports, North Carolina had a bye week, allowing Belichick to scout several promising high school prospects. He arrived before the 7 p.m. kickoff and departed at the end of the third quarter.

Among the notable players at the game were 2028 offensive lineman Bryce Smalls and receiver Kam Miller, as well as 2029 quarterback Brian Snowden Jr. from Archbishop Spalding. Gilman's roster included running back/safety Aiden Johnson.

This scouting mission occurs as Belichick navigates the second year of his tenure at Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels currently hold a 2-1 record after a loss to Clemson and are set to host No. 3 Notre Dame on October 3. Last season, North Carolina finished with a 4-8 record.

The team has faced internal challenges this season. North Carolina recently concluded an internal investigation into the program, which led to the resignations of general manager Mike Lombardi and son Steve Belichick, who served as defensive coordinator. Steve Belichick is on medical leave and is set to depart the program on October 27. Lombardi was placed on administrative leave in late July following employee complaints. The external investigation looked into allegations of drug use, sexual misconduct, and workplace culture issues within the program, finding isolated incidents that demonstrated a "disregard for Carolina’s values and standards of conduct."

Despite these circumstances, North Carolina chancellor Lee Roberts expressed continued support for Coach Belichick earlier in the week, stating that Belichick understands the expectations regarding conduct and behavior that accompany that support.
