The order for arrest issued for Jen Belichick, daughter-in-law of NFL coach Bill Belichick, has been recalled, according to her attorney. The legal situation stemmed from an alleged failure to appear in court for a misdemeanor speeding charge.

Jen Belichick had been accused of skipping a mandatory court date on July 10, following a speeding ticket issued on May 21 in North Carolina. An order for her arrest was issued on Monday, but it was recalled on Wednesday.

Alex Kintner, attorney for Jen Belichick, stated that the situation has been largely resolved. "I can confirm as Mrs. Belichick’s attorney in this matter that there is no order for Mrs. Belichick’s arrest, nor is there a failure to appear," Kintner said in a text message. "Both have been struck and her traffic ticket will be resolved on the next court date by me. Somebody fumbled the ball last week, but we picked it up and ran with it."

Court records from Brunswick County indicate that Kintner filed a motion to recall the arrest order on Tuesday, citing that he had "just retained" representation for Mrs. Belichick as the reason for her absence. A judge granted the motion on Wednesday, removing the failure to appear charge and recalling the arrest order. A new hearing date has been set for September 25.

Jen Belichick, who is married to UNC defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, reportedly made light of the situation on Monday via an Instagram post, which was themed around "Bad Boy for Life."
