Bill Belichick Denies Girlfriend Manages His Coaching Career Amid 'Ridiculous' Rumors

Bill Belichick has forcefully rejected rumors that his girlfriend, 25-year-old Jordon Hudson, plays a role in managing his coaching career, describing such claims as "ridiculous." The 74-year-old North Carolina Tar Heels head coach addressed the speculation in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, pushing back against the narrative that Hudson, a beauty pageant contestant, has any official capacity within his football program.

The rumors gained traction partly due to Hudson's presence on the sidelines at football games and an incident during a "CBS Sunday Morning" interview in April 2025. During that interview, Hudson intervened when the journalist asked about their relationship, stating, "We're not talking about that."

Belichick explained to the Journal that the media's interpretation of events was far removed from reality. "Like, ‘She’s trying to be the general manager of the team,’ and it’s so ridiculous," he stated. He clarified that when he took the job at UNC in December, he was juggling multiple media appearances and a book launch. He mentioned asking UNC communications staff to copy Hudson on personal emails to help coordinate his outside obligations, an action he believes led to misunderstandings.

"When I took the job here, it was December, and at that time I was doing five TV shows, the radio show, I had a book coming out,” Belichick said. “I had a lot of other things going on when I took the job.” He described the rumor that Hudson was "copied on every email" as a "flat-out lie."

A university spokesperson confirmed to the Journal that Hudson holds no football responsibilities at UNC. However, Hudson's LinkedIn profile lists her as COO of Belichick Productions and founder of Trouble Cub Enterprises, a company through which she has sought to trademark phrases associated with Belichick. In August 2025, Trouble Cub Enterprises filed to trademark the phrase "gold digger."

Between December 2025 and June 2026, Hudson also filed public records requests seeking communications between university staff and the media concerning her relationship with Belichick. When asked about the motive behind these requests, Belichick suggested that Hudson was likely seeking information that had already been disseminated, stating he didn't want to "speak for" her.

Hudson, who declined to be interviewed by the Journal, was present during the discussion with Belichick and reportedly uttered "oop" before walking away.

During the "CBS Sunday Morning" interview in April 2025, reporter Tony Dokoupil noted that both Belichick and Hudson seemed uncomfortable discussing their relationship. Belichick, who is nearly 50 years older than Hudson, stated at the time that he was "never too worried about what everybody else thinks" and focused on doing "what I feel like is best for me and what’s right."

Following the interview, Belichick issued a statement defending Hudson, asserting that the show had not honored the expectation to focus on his book promotion and that the introduction of unrelated topics was unexpected. He claimed the final broadcast selectively edited clips to create a false narrative about Hudson attempting to control the conversation. Belichick described his relationship with Hudson as both "personal and professional."
