WWE performer Big E offered a subtle reaction to his former New Day stablemates, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, making their All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut and winning the AEW World Trios Championship.
Kingston and Woods, now known as Kofi and Austin Creed, teamed with Swerve Strickland at AEW's All In event in London's Wembley Stadium. The trio, re-introduced as The New Level, defeated six other teams to secure the championship. This marks their first major championship win since their departure from WWE earlier this year.
Big E, who remains with WWE in a broadcast capacity, shared a cartoon on social media featuring a sign that read, "Look how far you’ve come." He captioned the image with, "Take a second today to recognize your own progress. You’ve made it farther than you think."
When fans commented on his post, Big E referred to Kingston and Woods as his "brothers." He also commented, "If you’re two living legends that are undervalued, sometimes you have to go to London!"
The New Day was a prominent tag team in WWE for over a decade, holding the WWE Tag Team Championship seven times and the World Tag Team Championship for 483 days consecutively at one point. Despite Big E suffering a career-threatening injury, Kingston and Woods continued as a duo, winning their final WWE tag titles at WrestleMania 41 and turning heel by expelling Big E from their group. Their tenure with WWE officially concluded earlier this year.
The New Level is slated to make their first defense of the AEW Trios Championship on the upcoming AEW "Dynamite" program, facing The Rascalz. The event also highlighted AEW's strong tag team division, with multiple top teams vying for championships.
