An escaped Savannah cat that had been missing for approximately two months was found injured in a plant pot in a back garden in Norfolk, England. The feline, native to sub-Saharan Africa, had been on the loose since May.
Kevin Murphy of Norfolk Wildlife Rescue had been attempting to track the cat since it was last spotted near Bramerton, south of Norwich, three weeks prior to its capture. Murphy successfully captured the animal using a net in Bramerton. The cat's owner has been confirmed to reside in the NR1 postcode area of Norwich, approximately four miles from where it was found.
The Savannah cat was taken to a veterinarian for treatment of a broken paw. It is believed the animal escaped from the city and traveled a considerable distance into the countryside.
