Lyric Medeiros, a contestant on the latest season of “Big Brother,” has defended her actions after admitting to peeing in the house's shared shower, an incident that gained significant attention online. Medeiros, who was recently evicted from the show, told Page Six that while she doesn't regret the act itself, she recognizes the public reaction it garnered.
"I think everyone pees in the shower, at least I think so… I don’t know," Medeiros said in an exclusive interview. The 25-year-old acknowledged that it was a "learned lesson" that in a house with 16 participants, such actions could go viral, adding, "And don’t admit it even if you do."
Medeiros explained that she believed the running water and soap canceled out any potential grossness of the act. However, she stated that if given another opportunity to be on "Big Brother," she would refrain from peeing in the shower and certainly wouldn't disclose it.
House Dynamics and Eviction
The reality star also commented on the interpersonal dynamics within the house, particularly her relationships with fellow contestants. She expressed surprise at Melody Morris's comment in the diary room about wanting to "punch" her for allegedly betraying an ally. Medeiros stated, "But at the end of the day, it’s a game," and anticipates remaining friends with Morris outside the show. She acknowledged being aware of people talking behind her back but was unaware of the extent.
Medeiros specifically called out Drew Campbell for making fun of her voice and Dee Valladares for her role in her eviction, noting, "I honestly thought I could trust Dee in the game and I she played a big role in me being evicted."
Showmance and Future Plans
Despite the on-screen drama, Medeiros cherishes her showmance with Rome Seymour, the second contestant eliminated. "I’m so blessed that I met Rome because we’ve been talking literally every day on FaceTime," she shared. "It’s been a dream come true in terms of coming out of that house with something more than just the experience. It’s coming out with a person I can trust forever and a person that I love."
Medeiros, who resides in Hawaii, hinted at future plans with Seymour, who is based in Florida. "All I can say is that maybe expect something on our social media pages," she teased. "Maybe a reunion might be happening within the next two weeks."
"Big Brother 28" airs on CBS, with episodes available to stream the following day on Paramount+.
