Bette Midler, 80, and her daughter Sophie von Haselberg, 39, recently attended the New York Restoration Project's Hulaween Gala in New York City, embracing the "Monsters of the Deep" theme with elaborate costumes.

Midler, known for her roles in "Hocus Pocus" and "Beaches," wore a shimmering gold dress with caped fabric, embellished with shells and starfish around the neckline. A netted red hat adorned with a crab figure completed her look, complemented by red velvet gloves and subtle makeup. Von Haselberg, an actress herself, sported a dark green sequin gown with a hood and a sparkling gold-netted coverup adorned with objects resembling ocean debris, reflecting the party's underwater theme.

The mother-daughter duo posed together at the event, which also drew singer Cyndi Lauper. Lauper was seen in a dramatic black ensemble with cream-colored fabric and a mask, accessorized with fish earrings.

Midler, who married artist Martin von Haselberg in 1984, welcomed Sophie in 1986. Sophie has followed in her mother's acting footsteps, appearing in "Irrational Man," "Pose," and "American Horror Story: Delicate." She has previously spoken about the emotional experience of watching her mother's performances.

In 2014, Midler described raising Sophie as her "greatest accomplishment," acknowledging the significant role her husband played in their daughter's upbringing. Midler has several upcoming projects, including "Hocus Pocus 3."
