BetMGM Sportsbook Offers New Users Up to $1,500 in Bonus Bets

BetMGM Sportsbook is offering new customers a welcome promotion that provides up to $1,500 in bonus bets if their initial wager loses. This offer, available in October 2026, is part of BetMGM's 'First Bet Safety Net' program.

To qualify for the promotion, new users must be 21 years of age or older and reside in one of the 23 states where BetMGM Sportsbook operates legally. A minimum deposit of $10 is required, and the qualifying bet must also be at least $10 with no minimum odds.

If a new user places a bet of $100 or more and it results in a loss, they will receive five bonus bet tokens equal to the initial wager. For example, a $1,000 losing bet would result in five $200 bonus bets. If the initial wager is less than $50 and loses, the user receives a single bonus bet token equal to the wager amount. These bonus bets must be used within seven days of issuance and only pay winnings, not the original stake.

BetMGM Sportsbook, which launched in 2017, has expanded to 23 states and is known for encouraging larger wagers. The platform offers a wide range of sports markets and betting features, including an 'Edit My Bet' function that allows users to modify unsettled bets. Live betting with real-time odds updates is also available, though some lag may occur.

Beyond the welcome offer, BetMGM provides ongoing promotions for existing users, such as profit boosts and bonus bets. The sportsbook is integrated with the MGM Rewards program, allowing users to earn points on bets that can be redeemed for various benefits, including stays at MGM resorts. The platform is considered safe and legitimate, employing geolocation checks to ensure compliance.

Responsible gambling resources, including the National Problem Gambling Helpline and Gamblers Anonymous, are available for users who may need assistance.
