Bethenny Frankel, known for her role on "The Real Housewives of New York City," shared on Monday that she has been "misdiagnosed with something pretty major." The television personality voiced her confusion about the situation in an Instagram video, explaining that she recently joined a "very legitimate" medical community where doctors cross-reference various health indicators.

"I really don’t want to tell you this, but I have to tell you this, because it could help one of you or several of you," Frankel stated in her video. She added that the medical team is "pretty resolved" in their findings.

Frankel urged her followers to be diligent with their health checkups and cautioned against relying solely on artificial intelligence, such as ChatGPT, for medical advice. "I was operating with the idea" that she had the condition she was previously diagnosed with, which adds to her current confusion. "I don’t wanna throw anybody under the bus," she said, emphasizing the need for thoroughness in medical care. "I just think that there’s nothing we should be more thorough about than our medical care or our health."

This update comes after Frankel publicly disclosed her chronic kidney disease diagnosis in January. At that time, she explained that a series of blood tests revealed consistently low kidney function. She speculated that the condition might be linked to a past severe allergic reaction or an autoimmune disease. She described the diagnosis as "overwhelming" and "slightly frightening," noting that it made her feel vulnerable and fragile, though manageable through lifestyle adjustments.

Frankel shared the video with the caption, "Do your research #health #doctors #yourewelcome."
