Beth Stern, wife of radio host Howard Stern, has been featured on the cover of BELLA Magazine's Hamptons Issue, coinciding with an event honoring her philanthropic work. The model, author, and animal rights activist, 54, spoke about her 25-year relationship with her husband, 72.
Stern reflected on her romance with the shock jock, whom she began dating in 2001. "He's my best friend, my rescue partner, and the biggest supporter of my life's mission to save animals," she said. "In fact, I told him just this morning that I still get butterflies every time I see him." The couple, who married on October 3, 2008, are approaching their 18th wedding anniversary.
Howard Stern, in a 2013 interview, described Beth as a positive influence, stating, "She is sunshine, where I am darkness. And she actually - when I come home, and I am filled with neurotic thoughts - she's like 'Let it go,' and it's fantastic."
Beth also shared her role in her husband's career decisions. In May, she told Andy Cohen that she encourages Howard to continue his SiriusXM show, believing it is beneficial for him and keeps him connected to current events. Howard Stern announced in December his decision to continue his radio program for another three years, citing a desire for more free time while remaining on air.
BELLA Magazine honored Stern for her "lifelong dedication to philanthropy and animal welfare" at an event held Tuesday at the Oceanbleu Resort in Westhampton Beach, New York. The celebration also commemorated the 4th Annual Cards for a Cure, an initiative supporting pediatric cancer research in collaboration with the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Vanessa Coppes, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of BELLA Media + Co, highlighted the event's focus on community and compassion. "Cards for a Cure was a beautiful reminder that when community, compassion, and purpose come together, extraordinary things happen," Coppes said. The magazine recognized Stern's contributions as perfectly reflecting the spirit of the event.
