Benny Blanco expressed his deep affection for his wife, Selena Gomez, in a series of social media posts celebrating her birthday on Wednesday.
Blanco, 38, took to Instagram to share a tribute that included photos of Gomez, 34. In one post, he shared a clip of himself giving Gomez a piggyback ride, accompanying it with the caption, "my beautiful wife… i’ll carry u wherever u wanna go forever… happy birthday my love."
The couple, who first went public with their relationship in December 2023, exchanged vows in September 2025. Gomez shared her own affectionate posts on Sunday, featuring multiple photos of the couple sharing public displays of affection.
Despite Gomez's demanding filming schedule overseas for the latest season of her Hulu series, "Only Murders In The Building," Blanco made an effort to be with her for her birthday on July 22. This effort was particularly notable given his stated fear of flying.
Last week, Blanco documented his journey to Gomez on TikTok, revealing he was traveling by ship. He posted a video with text overlay reading, "POV: ur traveling across the atlantic in the titanic to see ur wife bc ur scared of flying," with the caption, "the things we do for love."
In a previous conversation with the Spanish publication El País, Blanco recounted the early stages of their relationship. Gomez reportedly asked him, "Are you sure you want to do this? I understand if you want us to just be friends," a question posed in light of her significant fame as a singer, actress, and beauty mogul.
Blanco stated that he ultimately decided to embrace a public relationship. "And then I said, 'You know what? Screw it.' We’re lucky because we both have friends and family we’ve known since before all this, and we’re surrounded by a good group of people we love," he explained.
He also admitted to not liking excessive public exposure, noting the constant scrutiny famous people face. The couple maintained privacy for approximately eight to nine months before confirming their relationship in December 2023. They announced their engagement a year later, with Gomez posting "Forever starts now" alongside a photo of her engagement ring. Their wedding took place in Santa Barbara. In March 2025, prior to their wedding, they released a joint album titled "I Said I Love You First."
