Benny Blanco has described his life with wife Selena Gomez as "very normal," even while residing in their $35 million Los Angeles mansion. The music producer, 38, and the actress, 34, who married last September, have settled into their expansive seven-bedroom property in Beverly Hills.
Blanco shared that despite their substantial combined net worth, estimated at $555 million, their daily life is characterized by simple pleasures. He recounted cooking meals like steak and mashed potatoes for them, followed by a game of Scrabble. Blanco characterized Gomez as a "quiet observer" who, along with his mother, tends to avoid being the center of attention, a sentiment he finds humorous given Gomez's public profile.
"She's the best person in the world," Blanco said of Gomez. "I get to work with her and then I get to kiss her at the end of the night. That's the best." He also noted their shared patience and infrequent anger.
Blanco's comments to The Times were made during a visit to London in July, coinciding with Gomez's birthday while she was in the UK filming the latest season of "Only Murders In The Building." Blanco traveled from New York, opting for a sea voyage due to a fear of flying, and was accompanied by his divorced parents before joining Gomez for a holiday in Italy.
His return journey to Los Angeles was planned to be extensive, involving a sea voyage back to New York, followed by a roughly 41-hour bus trip, which he intended to extend by visiting friends along the way.
The couple purchased their Beverly Hills estate in February 2025. The Spanish-style home features seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a library, a greenhouse, a fitness center, and a swimming pool.
In related news, Gomez recently sold her Encino, California, home for $5.4 million. She had initially listed the six-bedroom, 10-bathroom property in May with an asking price of $6.49 million. Gomez had purchased the Encino residence for $4.89 million in 2020. The home was formerly owned by rock musician Tom Petty.
