Cincinnati Bengals rookie Landon Robinson garnered significant attention from fans and veterans for his patriotic entrance to his first career regular-season NFL game on Sunday. Instead of the designer apparel often seen during modern NFL tunnel walks, the United States Naval Academy alumnus arrived at Paycor Stadium in his official military uniform.
Footage shared on social media captured the defensive tackle walking into the stadium tunnel fully dressed in his uniform ahead of the Bengals' matchup against the Buccaneers. The gesture quickly went viral, with social media users praising the rookie for acknowledging his service background on a prominent day in his professional career.
"Best pre-game outfit of all time," one user commented on X, formerly Twitter. Another added, "Awesome. Congrats to this young man." A third user remarked, "Now THIS is an entrance. You can buy a designer pregame fit. You cannot buy the story behind this one."
Robinson joined the Bengals in April after being selected in the seventh round with the 226th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He spent three years at the United States Naval Academy before his selection.
"I'm super excited to get started," Robinson told the Akron Beacon Journal prior to the game. "I think it's the beginning of a long, long career, and I'm just excited to learn and grow. Obviously, you want to get out there as soon as you can, and you're eager to go make plays, but it takes time in reality, especially as a younger player. You've got to learn and you've got to grow because it's a big jump from college to the NFL. So, I'm excited to learn. I'm excited to grow."
The Ohio native had a notable collegiate career at the Naval Academy, becoming a formidable interior lineman. In his senior season in 2025, Robinson was named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and received First-Team All-American honors from the Associated Press. Despite being listed among the team's inactives for Sunday's opener, Robinson's entrance nevertheless left a significant impression on fans.
