Presenter Ben Shephard has inadvertently amused fans with the name of his new skincare brand, 'FOR SKIN,' which sounds phonetically similar to an anatomical term. Shephard, known for his family-friendly image on the show 'This Morning,' shared a "get ready with me" video on Instagram promoting his new line.
In the video, Shephard, 51, demonstrated his routine using the 'FOR SKIN' cleanser and moisturizer. "A quick wash with our Forskin cleanser, which if I say so myself, I am absolutely loving," he stated. "Following this up with a cheeky little bit of Forskin moisturiser to keep my face smooth and glowing for work. Nothing complicated, which is exactly how we like it."
The name quickly drew widespread amusement in the comments section, with followers posting remarks such as, "For skin?? You sure?" and "‘I wake up and rub forskin on my face’ - is all I’ll ever hear when I see Ben now." Another user commented, "What an unfortunate brand name."
Shephard and comedian Joel Dommett, 41, are the co-founders of the brand. The 'FOR SKIN' website states that the brand is developed publicly, with community input. "No focus groups. No jargon. Just real opinions helping us create better skincare," the site explains. The brand aims to help men "feel better in their own skin" and believes that looking good, feeling good, and talking openly are connected. A portion of the brand's proceeds will support the mental health charity, Mind.
