Ben Shephard marked a National Television Award (NTA) win with his family, sharing a celebratory moment with his wife Annie and their son Jack, 19. The presenter, 51, and his co-host Cat Deeley, 49, accepted the award for Best Daytime show on behalf of the "This Morning" team on Tuesday.
Following the awards ceremony, Shephard posted a photo on Instagram with his wife of 22 years and their son, who towered over him. He captioned the image, "So special to share it with @jshep2407 before he heads to Uni (and yes he’s flipping enormous). And @mrsannieshepard too."
The "This Morning" team celebrated their win, with Deeley noting the weight of the award and Shephard humorously remarking that it might have sustained minor damage. The presenters appeared on the show the following morning, still recovering from a late night. Chef Jamie Oliver prepared them bacon sandwiches with chili, a remedy he recommended for hangovers, explaining that chili contains capsaicin, which he described as a natural pain reliever that also aids in thinning the blood and combating impurities from a night of drinking.
"This Morning" secured the Best Daytime prize, competing against shows such as "Good Morning Britain" and "Loose Women." The program also shared the win with its Friday hosts, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
During the broadcast, Deeley recounted a moment from the night when her son Milo, aged two, woke her up asking if they had won, despite it being 2 a.m. Shephard quipped that they had been working hard to celebrate on behalf of their fans.
Fellow "This Morning" presenter Holly Willoughby arrived later on the red carpet, having recently launched her own YouTube chat show. Deeley wore a red and purple floral dress with a statement gold necklace, while Shephard was seen in an animated display with his co-host.
Ben and Annie Shephard also have an older son, Sam, who is 21.
