The warrant was reportedly issued in April 2025 after he failed to appear in Dungloe District Court. IMAGE1 "Below Deck" star Nathan Gallagher is facing assault charges in Ireland and Australia.
This comes after Gallagher, 28, was arrested on domestic violence charges in Australia in December 2025. He was taken into custody on Dec. 27, 2025, for allegedly assaulting a 29-year-old woman at a Sydney apartment complex, according to a police report obtained by Rolling Stone. The charges included assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault.
It remains unclear how Gallagher pleaded to the Australian charges, but he was reportedly granted conditional bail. "Below Deck" castmate Gael Cameron filed an Apprehended Violence Application against Gallagher, a legal measure to protect victims from stalking, harassment, threats, or intimidation. Cameron and Gallagher share a 1-year-old son. A hearing for this case is scheduled for September 1.
Following news of his Australian arrest, Gallagher issued a statement to Rolling Stone, acknowledging personal failings. "I'm not claiming I was perfect. I wasn't," he said. "I made mistakes and I will take responsibility for my own actions." He also stated that he would not accept being portrayed solely through one person's account and claimed to possess evidence, including video footage and messages, that he believes provides important context. "I have kept the evidence and will deal with it through the appropriate channels," Gallagher added.
Gallagher is reportedly not expected to appear in the upcoming 12th season of “Below Deck Mediterranean.” However, his scenes will continue to air in the currently airing 11th season.
