Bears Linebacker Devin Bush Calls Jets Game 'Easiest NFL Game Ever Played'
Devin Bush of the Chicago Bears expressed that the victory over the New York Jets was notably effortless, even leading to boredom.
Chicago Bears linebacker Devin Bush described his team's 23-12 victory over the New York Jets as one of the easiest NFL games he has ever played.
The Bears defense had ample rest during Sunday's game at Soldier Field, as the Jets offense held onto the ball for only 17 minutes and ran a total of 32 plays.
"It’s fun, man," Bush told reporters after the game. "We’ve got to get ourselves into more situations like that so we can get the offense the ball as much as possible. As you can see, they’re capable of doing a lot of great things. Holding the ball for what was it, 42 minutes? That is kind of wild. Probably one of the easiest NFL games I have played in. I’m not sore at all. So it was great."
Bush added that the lack of action on the field led to boredom. "It was boring," he replied when asked about his experience watching so much of the game from the sidelines. "I got bored. I got bored a couple of times. I had to stay warm just in case. I know we had a couple sudden change moments that I felt like got the defense going."
The loss dropped the Jets to a 1-3 record on the season. Head coach Aaron Glenn expressed disappointment with his team's performance, citing penalties that negated turnovers and the defense's inability to keep the Bears' offense off the field. "I’m very, very disappointed, on a number of different levels," Glenn stated. "We all have to muster up something inside to get this turned in the right direction when we have a game like this."
