Mike Love, a co-founder of The Beach Boys, has listed his Lake Tahoe estate for $43 million. The expansive property, which Love and his wife Jacquelyne have owned for more than 40 years, is described by the listing agent as a "modern-day castle."

The nearly 19,000-square-foot mansion is situated on 2.5 acres and features 10 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms. Amenities include a recording studio, a home theater, a wine cellar, a poker room, a sauna, a gym, and a swimming pool that offers panoramic views of Lake Tahoe.

According to Jeannette Harpole of Keller Williams Realty, who is representing the property, Love's wife personally selected many of the interior design elements. The home's rooms are themed to represent different parts of the world, and the front door was crafted by southern Indian temple artisans and blessed by a priest.

Harpole also noted that the estate includes a built-in ice skating rink for winter use and has been curated for "ultra-wealthy, exclusive-type of people."

The listing highlights the spiritual aspects of the mansion, stating that its features reflect a "commitment to spirituality and the vision of the home as a temple."

Love, 85, is selling the home because he desires a smaller residence now that his eight children are grown. He plans to purchase a smaller home in the Lake Tahoe area.

The listing emphasizes the opportunity to acquire a piece of American music history, situated above one of the world's renowned lakes. The property's description also notes that the surrounding land is protected in perpetuity and that the estate is a "complete and enduring environment shaped by the life lived within it."
