The Beach Boys have abruptly canceled two shows scheduled for November at Walt Disney World, citing ongoing "serious" health issues faced by lead singer Mike Love. The performances, slated for November 11 and 12 at EPCOT's Eat to the Beat Concert Series, will now feature "John Stamos and the California Sound."

While not officially confirmed, "John Stamos and the California Sound" is understood to comprise touring members of The Beach Boys, excluding Love, who is 85. Stamos, a long-time collaborator with the band, has performed with them intermittently for the past four decades.

This cancellation follows a series of postponements for the band. In late September, The Beach Boys canceled several concerts on their Endless Summer Gold Tour just one day before they were due to resume performing after a two-month hiatus. Venues in Pennsylvania and South Carolina cited "circumstances beyond the control" for those cancellations.

Earlier in October, John Stamos shared an update on Love's health, describing the challenges as "serious." In an Instagram post, Stamos referred to Love as a "fighter" and expressed hope for his continued performance, while acknowledging the uncertainty of the future. He noted that doctors have advised Love to prioritize his health, but the singer reportedly "insists on being on stage."

Love himself spoke in June about the emotional and physical toll of recent events, including the death of his sister Maureen and his recovery from bronchitis and COVID-19. He stated that he felt stronger physically each day but was heartbroken emotionally. Love added that he found solace and healing in performing for audiences.

The Eat to the Beat Concert Series at EPCOT also features other musical acts, including Boyz II Men, Grace Potter, and Big Head Todd and The Monsters. Representatives for The Beach Boys and John Stamos have been contacted for comment.
